Who am I? About Me

Few Words About Myself Where Science Meets Arts

Welcome to my website. My name is Shashank Shekhar. I am a neurologist by profession and artist by heart. People call me “Neurographer.”
I am passionate about both my profession and my photography. For me, photography is an ‘Art of Science.’ The art that doesn’t end with a click but involves a lot of understanding about light, photographic composition and tons of mechanical and computational algorithms results in a profoundly artistic and beautiful outcome.
I was always fascinated by the black and white images from the old family albums we had. Later, I bought my first color film camera (Kodak).
Then came the days of Mobile phone cameras. I kept shooting and learning. Later, my research mentor Dr. Ilkka Nissila, an excellent photographer, introduced me to the world of digital photography.
My friends’ recipe, my own old experience, and my passion have improved my skill further. The other sources for learning have been books, Youtube, online courses, etc. I seriously thank everyone for helping me with my endeavor. I am still learning and will keep learning.
My wife, Roopsi, and my family and friends have been my primary inspiration. They are always pushing me forward and giving me great ideas and feedback. Thanks to you all, I can create my digital footprint on this worldwide web. The more photos I take, the more confident I feel to call myself an artist.
Check out my work, and please do leave comments.

Where magic is happening My Studio

This is the place, where I can work with lights and shadows to create something unique. I’m talking about my working space.

How does this happen Processing

Here I like to show you photo processing. Sometimes you can not see result without direct comparison. So I’ll show you direct compare photo before and after processing, where I made retouching photo, removed background noise and improve color brightness.
